Dr. Vien Le is a Senior Scientist and Group Head of the Organoid Program at the Medical Genetics Institute and Gene Solutions, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

She received her DPhil from the University of Oxford, supported by a Wellcome Trust Major Overseas Programme fellowship, and subsequently completed postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco and City of Hope, USA.

She later joined Inception Therapeutics in San Diego as a Scientist, where she developed in vitro and high-throughput assays for small-molecule drug discovery.

Her expertise includes patient-derived organoids (PDOs), organoid biobanking, drug sensitivity testing, functional precision oncology, and organoid–immune co-culture models for cell therapy, with a focus on lung, colorectal, breast, and gastric cancers.
She has co-authored peer-reviewed publications in leading journals, including Science Translational Medicine, Nature Communications, PLoS Genetics, and Development.
